just a Q though... what exactly do you mean that the Spirit was given in a way that Old Testament believers could only dream of? do you mean the inclusion of Gentiles @ the Pentecost, or s'th else?
I don't think it's a jew/gentile thing as even Pentecost itself still is largely a Jewish event. The OT believers did have the Spirit but I think after Pentecost we can now know the presence and power of the Spirit in a far fuller way.
In particular I had in mind Moses' cry that he wished that all the people could prophesy and be filled with the Spirit, which incredbly is what we now have!

although I do think the gospel has already been around the world - even a few times
